Fourth on the Shore, a full day of activities to celebrate Independence Day in Manitowoc, returns on Friday, July 4, 2025. This year’s schedule features live music, family-friendly activities, and food and drinks along the river and lakefront.

The festivities begin with the annual Fourth on the Shore parade at 10:00 a.m. The route heads north on S. 8th Street and Washington Street, turns east on Maritime Drive, and finishes at the Manitowoc Yacht Club.

The day continues with live music at The Wharf, craft vendors and food trucks in the YMCA parking lot, self-guided tours inside the Manitowoc Breakwater Lighthouse, music and kids’ activities at the Manitowoc Yacht Club, which is open to the public, and more. The Wisconsin Maritime Museum’s SubFest is July 4-6 and occurs in conjunction with Fourth on the Shore. On July 4, museum admission is just $10, while veterans, retired military, and active duty military are free all weekend long.
