Outdoor Movie Nights Announced for 2026
[Manitowoc, WI] – The City of Manitowoc’s Department of Tourism, Visit Manitowoc, is hosting three free outdoor movie nights this summer and fall, continuing to expand on the event series that began in 2024 with a single showing.
To kick off the 2026 series and Fourth on the Shore celebrations, Jaws (1975) will be shown at Lighthouse Park on Thursday, July 2 at 9 p.m. This classic flick can be seen on the inflatable movie screen adjacent to the pavilion at Lighthouse Park (475 Maritime Drive). Guests are encouraged to set up their own chairs and blankets on the grass. The movie will overlook unsalted and shark-free Lake Michigan, the perfect backdrop for a relaxing summer night out.
The second movie is The Incredibles (2004), which will be shown at Washington Park at 8:30 p.m., on Thursday, August 6. This family-friendly superhero film is sure to be a hit with the whole crew.
The third and final movie is Ghostbusters (1984), which will be shown at Washington Park on Friday, October 2 at 6:30 p.m. Manitowoc’s beautiful fall foliage will be on display overhead, kicking off a Halloween-themed weekend. Spectators are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes for this festive movie. The following day, Nightmare Off Eighth Street will take place in downtown Manitowoc.
Food and drink will be available for purchase at each movie showing by Happy Snax.
