GREEN BAY, Wis. – Prevea Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Michael Tapscott, a fellowship-trained sports medicine and family medicine physician now caring for patients at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center, 1726 Shawano Ave., Green Bay and the Prevea Manitowoc Health Center, 4810 Expo Drive, Manitowoc.
 
As a family medicine physician, Dr. Tapscott provides routine care to children, adults and the elderly. He offers preventive medicine, health maintenance care and chronic disease management for diabetes; hypertension; hyperlipidemia and asthma. Also specializing in sports medicine care, Dr. Tapscott offers key services including non-operative orthopedic care related to sports injuries; fracture care; concussion management; and arthritis. He also provides advanced non-operative musculoskeletal services including ultrasound evaluation and ultrasound guided procedures.
 
“It’s my goal to establish a relationship based on good communication, from each patient and myself, to make an accurate diagnosis and management plan as well as answer any questions that may arise,” said Dr. Tapscott. “My patients can expect a calm conversation detailing the symptoms that brought them in which will lead to educating them on what is going on, so they leave with an understanding of their condition.”
 
Dr. Tapscott earned his medical degree at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed residency at Methodist Charlton Family Medicine Residency and fellowship-training at Waco Family Sports Medicine Fellowship.
