MANITOWOC, Wis., ‑ Roncalli Catholic Schools is pleased to announce Jason Shimon as the next Head Coach of the Roncalli Jets Girls Basketball program.
 
Coach Shimon brings more than 23 years of coaching experience to the role, highlighted by multiple successful seasons as head girls basketball coach at Southern Door High School in Brussels, Wis. As head coach of the Eagles, he compiled a 60–33 record, which included a Packerland Conference championship, a WIAA Regional Championship, and a WIAA Sectional Final appearance in 2018. His experience at all levels of the game has shaped a clear and impactful coaching philosophy centered on player development, high expectations, and building confident, disciplined athletes within a positive, team-first culture.
 
Shimon was selected following a comprehensive search process. For the past two years, he has served as the Jets’ JV coach, where he has built strong relationships with student-athletes and contributed meaningfully to the growth of the program. His commitment to fostering a culture of accountability, development, and sustained success made him an ideal fit to lead the Roncalli Girls Basketball program into its next chapter.

Shimon has already begun connecting with student-athletes this offseason, focusing on building a unified team culture ahead of the upcoming season.
 
“I am excited and honored to lead the Jets Girls Basketball program,” said Shimon. “I believe the future is bright, and I am grateful for the opportunity to build on the foundation already established at Roncalli.”
