Visit Manitowoc Launches Free Postcard Initiative
Visit Manitowoc is now offering free postcards at their main visitor center located at 824 S 8th Street, Manitowoc. This program launched earlier this week and will be available throughout the summer season and beyond if it continues to be a success.
The idea came from a citizen who sent a postcard to staff using a similar program in a different destination. Postcards have also been a top request of visitors stopping into the visitor center. Visit Manitowoc views this initiative as a fun way for visitors to encourage their family and friends to make a trip here as well.
Visitors can choose from one of three designs: a beach scene with Manitowoc’s coordinates, one with “Greetings from Manitowoc” and an assortment of attractions, or a graphic image of the state of Wisconsin with colorful icons in it. They can write a message on the back, add the recipient’s address, and put it in the drop box located in the visitor center. Visit Manitowoc will even stamp and mail it on their behalf.
“We’re always looking for new ways to boost the visitor experience in-destination and are excited to offer this program heading into our busiest time of year,” said Courtney Hansen, Director of Tourism. “It’s already been fun to see the smiles on peoples’ faces when they learn about this program. They are both surprised and delighted that we’re offering this way to share the love of Manitowoc, completely free of cost to them.”
