Visit Manitowoc to Host Outdoor Movie Nights
The City of Manitowoc’s Department of Tourism, Visit Manitowoc, is hosting three free outdoor movie nights this summer and fall, expanding upon last year’s single showing of Finding Nemo that brought hundreds to gather at Lighthouse Park along the lakefront.
To kick off the 2025 series, Raiders of the Lost Ark will be shown at Lighthouse Park on Thursday, June 26 at 8:30 p.m. This classic Indiana Jones flick can be seen on the inflatable movie screen adjacent to the pavilion at Lighthouse Park (475 Maritime Drive). Guests are encouraged to set up their own chairs and blankets on the grass. The movie will overlook Lake Michigan, the perfect backdrop for a relaxing summer night out.
The second movie is Moana 2, which will be shown at the same location and time, Lighthouse Park at 8:30 p.m., on Thursday, August 7. This family-friendly film is sure to be a hit with the whole crew.
The third and final movie is Hocus Pocus, which will be shown at Washington Park on Friday, October 3 at 6:30 p.m. Manitowoc’s beautiful fall foliage will be on display overhead, kicking off a Halloween-themed weekend in Manitowoc. The following day, Nightmare Off Eighth Street, a new event in downtown hosted by a group of local business owners, will take place.
Food and drink will be available for purchase at each movie showing by Happy Snax. Thank you to TDS Telecom for sponsoring this movie series.
