Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry is Finalist for U.S. Manufacturing Leadership Award

(Manitowoc, WI) It was announced today that Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry (WAF), an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of custom aluminum and copper-based alloy castings for a wide range of applications and industries, is a finalist for the 2025 Manufacturing Leadership Awards. The annual awards are presented by the National Association of Manufacturers’ Leadership Council.

WAF is being recognized as a finalist in the Partner in Collaborative Innovation category for its project with Gravity, the leading enterprise carbon accounting and energy management platform, to improve energy efficiency in the aluminum melting process at WAF’s foundry in Crookston, MN. While the project received federal support through a Department of Energy program focused on small- and mid-sized manufacturers, it is currently on hold as part of a broader federal spending review.

“We are honored to be selected as a finalist for this prestigious award,” stated Sachin Shivaram, WAF CEO. “We take an innovative, entrepreneurial approach to helping customers find solutions to their manufacturing challenges. In addition, our team takes pride in establishing positive, collaborative relationships with our partners. Those two things, innovation and collaboration, benefit everyone involved and make us all successful.”

Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry employs more than 1,000 throughout its divisions, which include Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry (Manitowoc, WI), Wabash Castings (Wabash, IN), Dee Manufacturing (Crookston, MN), Manitowoc Pattern & Machining (Manitowoc, WI), All American 1930 (Manitowoc, WI), ATEK Metal Technologies (New Hampton, IA), and Anderson Global (Muskegon, MI).

Winners in all award categories will be announced at the Manufacturing Leadership Awards Gala, which will take place on June 18, 2025, at the JW Marriott in Marco Island, Florida. The gala is the closing event for Rethink: Accelerating Digital Transformation in Manufacturing.
