Description
The Lakeshore Balloon Glow is an event coordinated in partnership between The Chamber of Manitowoc County and the City of Manitowoc. Funds raised at the event go towards downtown beautification projects. In 2022, the Lakeshore Balloon Glow committee donated funds to help purchase new holiday decorations for the downtown area.
Schedule of Events:
5:00-6:00 PM | Story Time & Activities in Children's Area Presented by: Manitowoc Public Library
6:00-7:00 PM | Webfooters Water Ski Show in Manitowoc River
7:00-8:00 PM | Mischief & Magic Show, in Children’s Area
7:45 (Dusk) | Balloons Illuminated/Inflated in Briess Parking Lot
8:30 PM | Fireworks
Food Trucks 5-9 PM
Beer, Soda & Water Available 5-9 PM
Bounce Houses & Obstacle Course 5-8:30 PM
Additional entertainment throughout event grounds includes: Music Provided by Advanced Entertainment DJ, Aerial Dance Performances, Star Wars Characters, Balloon Inflatables, Traveling Snake Guy, and MORE!
All entertainment and Children's Area activities are FREE.

VIP Seating at the Sub Pub - SOLD OUT
Reserve a VIP spot at the Sub Pub on the rooftop of the Wisconsin Maritime Museum! Enjoy a fabulous view with a cash bar for $10 per person! Hurry though, space is limited and tickets to this exclusive spot will sell out quickly!
Seating is first-come first served, and not guaranteed for all guests. Guests may bring their own lawn chairs.
Food carry-ins from Food Truck vendors are allowed.
Volunteers Needed
We are in need volunteers* to help make this HUGE event successful! We are looking for volunteers in a number of different capacities: Servers, Runners, ID Scanners, Balloon Security/Handling, Event Setup/Cleanup, etc. All volunteers receive a free t-shirt, and most shifts are either 5-7PM or 7-9PM.

*All volunteers must be 18 years or older.
Trolley Service
We are pleased to once again be able to offer off-site parking with complimentary shuttle/trolley service to the event grounds. Service and parking will be available at the following locations:
Lincoln High School
JFK Fieldhouse Parking Lot
S. 9th St., Manitowoc
Roncalli High School
2000 Mirro Dr., Manitowoc
Faith Church
2201 S 42nd St, Manitowoc
Trolley/Shuttle service will begin at 4:45pm from each of the pickup/parking sites, and will continuously loop throughout the night in about 30 minute segments. The last shuttle/trolleys will leave the event grounds at 9:00pm.
