The Lakeshore Wind Ensemble “An American Salute: Wisconsin Rhapsody” Conductor Jeremiah Eis Capitol Civic Centre, Manitowoc, WI Saturday, May 3, 2025, 7:30 pm The Lakeshore Wind Ensemble season will conclude with a salute to all things Wisconsin during our “An American Salute: Wisconsin Rhapsody” concert! Guest pianist Dr. Justin Krueger, Vice President of the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association will be performing Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin, which recently turned 100 yeas old! Works by Wisconsin composers will be featured including LWE’s own Brian Van Ells and Gary Audry. Audry’s arrangement is the title track for the WWII mini-series Masters of the Air, which will be performed along with the video trailer. Our veterans will also be honored during the concert with service songs for each branch. Guest vocalist and retired music educator and retired Lakeshore Wind Ensemble and Lakeshore Big Band vocalist/assistant conductor David Bourgeois returns to the Capitol stage to sing several pieces including Mansions of the Lord, As Time Goes By, and America the Beautiful.
