UnitedOne Announces 2026 Scholarship Recipients

Jack Bauer, Kyle Heling, and Tracy Arens are the recipients of UnitedOne Credit Union’s three $1,000 scholarships for the 2026-27 academic year.

Bauer is a senior at Manitowoc Lincoln High School. He will be attending college at UW-Whitewater to pursue a career as a financial advisor.

“I want to help people with budgeting and not be stressed with bills or loans or whatever it may be as well as helping them prepare for their future by saving money and investing,” Bauer said.

Heling is a senior at Sheboygan South High School. He will be attending Concordia University and plans to study rehabilitation science and pursue a career as a physical therapist.

“One lesson I will carry into my future is to never commit to something without committing to the work behind it,” Heling said. “Whether it's a car payment or my tuition, I've learned to think beyond the excitement of the moment and consider the responsibility that follows.”

Arens, a Manitowoc resident, attends Lakeshore College and is a Licensed Practical Nurse bridging to a Registered Nurse.

"Becoming a nurse was never just a career goal; it is part of who I am,” Arens said. "Now, with clearer goals and stronger financial discipline, I am committed to finishing my RN and continuing to serve patients and families with the compassion that first led me into hospice care."

UnitedOne offers three $1,000 scholarships to its members. Two scholarships are awarded to high school seniors, including one who resides in Manitowoc County and one who resides in Sheboygan County. The third scholarship is awarded to a current college student or working adult pursuing higher education. Bauer, Heling, and Arens were chosen by an independent panel, which judged applicants based on a written essay.
