Instructional /Classroom Aide (Part-Time)
Location: Roncalli Elementary School – Manitowoc, WI
Schedule: Part-Time, Day Shift
Starting Wage: $16.00 per hour
 
Position Summary
Roncalli Catholic Schools is seeking a compassionate and dependable
Instructional/Classroom Aide to join our elementary school team. Working alongside classroom teachers, this individual plays an important role in supporting student learning, preparing instructional materials, supervising classroom activities, and helping create a safe, welcoming, and faith-centered learning environment.
 
The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, communicates effectively, and is committed to helping every student grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
 
Primary Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in maintaining a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Support classroom instruction through individual, small-group, and whole-class learning activities.
• Prepare instructional materials, activity sheets, learning aids, and classroom resources.
• Reinforce lessons through discussions, stories, role-playing, and other educational activities.
• Lead classroom activities under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Assist with classroom organization and daily preparation.
• Communicate with parents when appropriate and in the teacher's absence.
• Provide guidance and support to volunteers, interns, or student workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support students, teachers, and the school community.

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of related experience working with children or in an educational setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions and established safety procedures.
• Effective classroom supervision and behavior management skills.
• A caring, patient approach that encourages student growth and development.
• Experience preparing classroom materials and supporting instructional activities.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb stairs as needed throughout the school day.

• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Be comfortable using a computer or mobile device to record work hours.
• Successfully complete a criminal background check.
• Complete and maintain Virtus Safe Environment training.
• Successfully complete a post-offer physical examination and medical history review. 

• Starting wage of $16.00 per hour
• Part-time, day shift position
• Semi-monthly payroll (paid on the 15th and last day of each month)
