Mental Health America Lakeshore is an affiliate of the nation's leading community-based nonprofit, MHA, dedicated to addressing the needs of those with mental illness. Since 1953 our mental health resource agency has promoted mental wellness through education, prevention programming, advocacy, and resource referrals for care and recovery.
There is Hope is our annual suicide awareness and prevention walk supporting those with lived experience of suicide loss and grief as well as anyone affected by mental health challenges.
This powerful event takes place along the beautiful shore of Lake Michigan in Sheboygan, WI. The walk not only supports those who have experienced the real and tragic loss of a loved one to suicide but also brings our community together to make a positive difference around suicide awareness. It is also an opportunity for those who have faced mental health struggles to support one another and feel support from our community. All funds raised support our programming efforts around mental health and suicide prevention.
